Immanuel Classical School

Our mission is to cultivate wonder, train in truth, and shape our students’ love for God and His world through robust, objective based Classical Education.

A Unique School

Since its founding in 2021 by Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Immanuel Classical School has been unapologetically committed to God’s glory, to His children, and a conviction that soul-nurturing classical education is only possible through God’s grace. In other words we believe that education is discipleship. A purposely small school, Immanuel nurtures and celebrates deep relationships, individualized learning styles, and richness of experience so students are known well, and impacted by their learning for years to come.

The academics of Immanuel are biblical, foundation, cyclical, rigorous, measurable, and dynamic - all rooted in theological themes of creation, fall, redemption, and consummation.

Immanuel equips the whole student to mature in the knowledge of God so that they can go from here and be a light in the world.

A Unique Opportunity

Although still a very young school, we have developed a solid foundation to build on with 140 students enrolled K-12. We also have developed a full staff team and budding donor base for the makings of a school that is stable for the long haul. But Immanuel’s greatest strength is that the school knows who it is; the vibrancy of the community and educational program is rooted in an unmistakable identity, the gospel.

Immanuel’s head of school, Craig Harris, has been in this role as a temporary necessity to help the school get established until we could find a full time Head Master. As we enter into our fourth year as a school, and continue to grow and establish a foothold in our community, we believe that the time is now to invest in the future of our school.

This creates a remarkable opportunity for a new leader to come and help bring Immanuel into a new phase of its life, and to help it continue to mature as a cornerstone institution in Yakima.
